# Removal

**Windows**

## Removing a winget installation

Open PowerShell and run the command:

```shell
winget uninstall --id yuccastream.tuna ; powershell

```

## Removing an MSI package installation

Uninstall the program through the Programs control panel.

## Removing a manual installation

Open PowerShell and run the command:

```powershell
Remove-Item "$env:USERPROFILE\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\tuna.exe" -Force

```

**macOS**

## Removing a brew installation

Run the command in the terminal:

```bash
brew uninstall yuccastream/tap/tuna

```

## Removing a manual or script installation

Run the command in the terminal:

```bash
sudo rm -f /usr/local/bin/tuna

```

**Linux**

## Removing a package manager installation

**Ubuntu/Debian**

For Debian and derivative distributions (Ubuntu, Mint and others), run the following commands in the terminal:

```shell
sudo apt purge tuna.am tuna-cli tunad

```

**SUSE/OpenSUSE**

For SUSE and OpenSUSE, run the following commands in the terminal:

```shell
sudo zypper remove tuna.am tuna-cli tunad

```

**RHEL/Fedora**

For RHEL and derivative distributions (CentOS, Rocky, AlmaLinux and others), as well as Fedora, run the following commands in the terminal:

```shell
sudo dnf remove tuna.am tuna-cli tunad

```

**Arch Linux**

For Arch Linux, run the following commands in the terminal:

```shell
sudo pacman -R tuna.am-bin

```

## Removing a manual installation

Run the command in the terminal:

```bash
sudo rm -f /usr/local/bin/tuna

```

**FreeBSD**

Run the command in the terminal:

```shell
sudo rm -f /usr/local/bin/tuna

```
